Poppyfields Retail Park is a flourishing shopping space situated in Norfolk. The retail park has a mixture of retail businesses, a garden centre and a coffee shop. Poppyfields came to Inbetween for a new brand identity and new wayfinding signage and collateral.
The Approach
Looking to the fauna of the local area for inspiration, we created a friendly modern brand identity to convey the light and bright appeal of the Poppyfields Retail Park.
We used a modern poppy icon as the prime visual property. This replaces the dot on the character ‘i’. As well as looking attractive, the poppy icon serves as a neat device for reflecting the experience of shopping at Poppyfields.
To provide an elegant combination, we chose the Como font for the logo typography. This beautiful modern rounded font encapsulates the soft curve of a poppy, and projects an open and friendly feel. A variety of different colourways offered flexibility for different uses and situations.
While the corporate branding takes inspiration from a vibrant red poppy, the wayfinding signage reflects the local heritage of the immediate environs, providing a sense of place and belonging.
